Nov 4 Reached Barvardistons for lunch by bicycle. In pm biked with Milly to Bentley Manor to see Mrs Tollemache (wife of Hon Stanhope Tolleuache) and sister in law of Combes of 29th Bn friend at finalbar Trench) . Very wet.

5. Tue Biked alone to Pin Mill & Shottley - Took some photos.

6. After a very pleasant visit biked down to Ipswich & caught London train. Called on Sir F. Piggott. Lunched at Frascatis . Caught train to Leamington. Found Auntie Bar very well. Back to London.

7. Bright. Train to Swains Thorpe. Walked to Carleton. Found Jack Lindley there still crippled Mrs & Uncle well.

Nov 3. Austria signed an armistice equal to unconditional surrender . Turkey having done so already & Bulgaria before that.

8. Jess & I move into Norwich & shopped. Con & Meg came to lunch & I walked back to Caistor with Meg & saw her delightful children. Luidley & Margaret - Cecil Gurney much better . Weather mild with occasional lrain.

9. Kaiser Wilhelm abdicated & fled to Holland.
