May line about 3 am. cold & fire reached Bn Hqrs just before it got too light & walked out to transport lines Bailleulval[?] and there about 7 am. feeling quite done up - After good breakfast had significant help then reported to Div HQ

14. Forgery case in wh. I prosecuted for Div. Conviction. Very hot day.

15. Areux to Railhead on P.O. case

16. [illegible] Completed P.O. investigation dealing with Major Murray, A.D.P.S. [illegible] manner D.A.D.P.S. Corps. Rode up to Bn Hqrs in support with Bridgeman - Beautiful evening with moon later. Back by midnight.

17. Lunched with Col R.L. Broutagne[?] AATQMG & Genl Burstall at BASSEUX. [illegible]

18. V. hot - went with Scarff is one of his bath lorries to Avesues le Combe - with fine church of unusual tower of 15th century at junction of 5 highways.

19. Sund - went to s&c at Div Hqrs - went to Doulleus with Bridgeman 30 k & by lorry. Beautiful road. Town full of French, Americans & English (Whit Sunday). Lunched at Hotel des Quatre Fils d'Agnaut ?
