[illegible] permanent visitor. Mrs Jervis of Quarudon House Derby a passer by. brother of Harry Stapney of Cowichan Sta. Hilda & I motored in & picked up Walts at Taunton. He was looking very fit.

Oct 10. Mrs Jervis drove me to Sta. to catch London Express. Got to Pad. at 2.15 & taxi'd to Liverpool St & caught 3.00 for Norwich. Train to Eaton & walked through dark to Carlton. Uncle [illegible] alone.

11. Con & Mrs Brooke (Susie Hughes) to lunch. Dick Gull & his bride (Donah) to tea from Warsil l- Rain & Sun.

13. To Norwich with [illegible] for shopping . Cecil Gurney motored me to Caistor to lunch. Walked back to Carleton.

14. Sund. To early service with Jess & Mary Upcher who is staying at Carleton. Pottered about with Uncle in the Garden & for a walk with Jess.

15. Early breakfast. Tennant [illegible] me in card to Thorpe. To London, Lunched in city & shopped. Took hand & Nancy Roberts to Henlauds to dinner in a motor. Rolls Royce.

16. Caught boat train at Victoria. Raining. Stopped sevl hours in [illegible]
