Transport lines more further south & on moved up to front lines.

May 7 - Bn relieved in front line night of 7/8 by 19? Gas shells & some casualties. First rain. Relief not complete . On right enemy retook front line but were first out.

May 8. Bn H.Q. moved to Thymesly. Raining worse [?] Bn has ever had but lost no offrs & total casualties only 119.

May 9. Very fine. Band concert at our old front line. Everyone feeling rested up>. Lt Groud[?] joined also Lt Garrett.

Sat May 12. Still hot - Bath at Maroeuil. [illegible] for 125 BnHQ. Mess.

Sund May 13. F.G.C. & Bn moved up to Rlwy Embankment. Self stayed out with Col. Ross & 8 offrs & 86 OR. Thunder & rain. at night.

Mon May 14. Lt Glass reported & sent to 6th CTMB.

Satdy May 19. V. lovely weather. Moved down to Bois des Alleuc to [illegible] camp under Major Reynolds - having recd [illegible] of 7 offrs & 306 men from 4 Sqn. 3rd Pioneers
