Sat May 20 Nell + I had tea at Pentrelew + said goodbye to all there. Also saw Freda in bed at hospital.

Sund May 21 Early service with Nell + Harry at St. Mary's. Our chaplin Col. Andrews officiating. Then whole family motored to Wright's at Sooke for day. Nell + I had quiet evening.

Monday 22 May Said goodbye to office. Dinner at home. In evg to Bantam Revue at Royal Vic - v. good + light. Slept at home.

Tues 23 Marching order parade + rest of day hanging about Willows doing odd things.

Wed May 24 Victoria or Empire Day. [Orderly?] officer on Train 2. [illegible] meals served by commissariat car to men in own cards. Food excellent. 1 platoon each care offr v. comfortable. Good reception at Kamloops.
