He is of an affectionate disposition and would not, except through thoughtlessness, do what he knew would cause his parents great pain, and yet he goes on.

I feel that his actions are beyond his mental control. In any event his mentality is not strong.

My prospects of sailing within about a week are fairly good. I went up to Canadian Hqrs in London yesterday + found that they were really pushing my papers along.

By the way my bank a/c was so low that I thought I had better draw on your credit with the Bank of B.N.A. in London for L75 which I did + this amount I now owe you.

I will ask Nell to let you have it in case anything should go wrong.

It is quite possible that I may be held up in the concentration camp in Wales but that will depend on the shipping situation.
