of a juniper. The other shows the persistent fishermen of Profondeville.

They are shut out now by the ice & rapidly falling river but until that happened they were there every day & all day long whatever the weather. In this picture the last building on the right is our office.

I also enclose a photo of our boar hunting party & the big boar. There are boars about here but we have not seen them. In fact in all my walks I have only seen a few partridges and a pine marten though there are plenty of tracks of deer & rabbits. The people here are friendly & treat us well. Consequently we have no difficulty with the men.

When I get to England I will write again to give you some idea of when to expect me & I will telegraph from Winnipeg if possible.
