My dear brother

Though we have not yet reached peace we are on the high road to it and may now look forward to the possibility of a return home. Besides the strong desire to return home I am now anxious to get back to relieve you + Fowkes somewhat of the great burdens you have been carrying for me. Possibly you can do something through the O.C. Military District. The best grounds would be Mother's great age + my various trusteeships, the taking in hand of my private interests and the fact that in the wind up or management of some of the affairs I had in hand when I left my personal knowledge must be required. Anything in that line must be done from that end.
