part. The C.O. out of the kindness of his heart insists in keeping me out of danger though he knows perfectly well that I should prefer to share my comrades work whatever it may be. He very nearly had to call for me the other day when he really needed me but he would not do it.

The present C.O. is you know Major Latta D.S.O of Vancouver, my old company commander and the present Adjutant is Major F.W. Kirkland D.C.M. the BCLS.

Cyril Mogg came to see me the other day + Bridgman has seen [illegible]. They are both well. Gordon Mogg the married one who was shot through the jaws on the Somme is still in hospital.
