very desirable. The Bn is divided in two just now but will join up again in a few days. My work will be much heavier then as the Adjutant is going on leave & we shall be a very large Bn. Also there will be some heavy courts martial at which I shall have to prosecute. Most of these things come my way for if I am not prosecuting the prisoners seem to want me to act for them.

However Neville Montgomery has just joined us so I shall be able to turn legal work on to him. We have about 46 officers here & goodness knows how many others on the strength.
