My dear brother

The enclosed news paper illustration means a great deal to me. It represents one of the most stirring moments in a stirring life.

After the C.O. has given all information to the O.C. Cos & details they in turn have a solemn talk with their subordinate officers & then each platoon commander gathers his men round him (just before going in) & tells them what the Bn is going to try & do, what part the Co will play & again the task allotted to the platoon and how in turn each proposes to carry out it's orders.
