[?] carry on his back.

It will make me part with many things I have to lose - books for instance.

We may have a chance to send some things back to England - it is still very hot & there are flies.

On arrival we were at once brought face to face with our first casualties - Andrews is with the [Ba?] [alberall?] but we have not seen him yet. Willis Langley has a staff job as Paymaster but not with us [?] not far off so he ought to be all right.

You might show this letter to Nell as it is more up to date than my last to her. There is a splendid atmosphere of brotherhood here in all ranks which it is splendid to feel.

Much love to Mother & Susie & Zeffie & yourself & my [latest?} love to Nell & the kids - I have received a letter here from England already so may get some from home very soon - We have also received yesterday's London papers which is rather remarkable.

Best remembrances to Fowkes, [Miss ?] & all in the office. Your loving brother

Arthur D Crease
