DIRECT-EXAMINATION BY MR. KENNEDY.

85- Q. Doctor, you are a practising Physician in the City of Vancouver? A. Yes sir.

86- Q. And were such on the 12th day of February? A. Yes sir.

87- Q. Duly licensed? A. Yes.

88- Q. And entitled to practise? A. Yes.

89- Q. Did you have occasion to examine Officer McLeod? A. Yes.

90- Q. What day? A. In the morning of the --- Wednesday.

91- Q. What date? A. 12th.

92- Q. The morning of Wednesday, the 12th? A. Yes sir.

93- Q. About what time of the day? A. Probably about 6:00 in the ---- or 5:30, or thereabouts.

94- Q. Where? A. At Knowlton's Drug Store.

95- Q. And what did you find was the matter with him? A. Well, when I went in ---, the man was bleeding from the neck, and three wounds in the neck.

96- Q. Now, that is what we called you here for, --- where were these three wounds? A. Well, one was just on the chin, and another wound down here over the ---- about two inches from it.

97- Q. Two inches from the base of the chin? A. Well, from the bottom of the first wound, --- and another wound about three quarters of an inch below, about here ---

98- Q. And any other wounds? A. There were the three.

99- Q. And what have you got to say about the shoulder? A. There is no wound in the shoulder, the wound around here was swollen. And there was no wound at that time.

100- Q. Now, did you make a more thorough examination after that, Doctor? A. Yes sir, I took him to the Hospital, and I might say ---
