Warrant and Complaint for an Indictable Offence.

The examination of Henry Murray of Victoria taken this twenty-third day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty before the undersigned, one of Her Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said Province in the presence and hearing of Ah Maw who is this day charged before me, This deponent Henry Murray upon his oath deposeth saith as follows: On the 23th of February last the prisoner Ah Maw was working on the chain gang at the school reserve , I was in charge of the said gang at one o'clock that day he was left as usual to clear of the things after dinner about 20 minutes past one I went to the cook house
