Police Court 26th July 1866

John Chapman Davie Sen'r being duly sworn on oath deposeth and saith:

I am a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I made an examination of the child and also the prisoner this morning. I have heard the evidence given by the witness John Chapman Davie [illegible] Doctor of Medicine and I entirely concur with him.

The injury done to the child is a recent one: and the parts are still very tender. (signed) Jno C Davie
