Police Court 26th July 1866

John Chapman Davie Sen'r being duly sworn on oath deposeth and saith:

I am a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of [?]. I made an examination of the child and also the prisoner this morning. I have heard the evidence given by the witness John Chapman Davie [?] Doctor of Medicine and I entirely concur with him.

(Crossexamined by [Alex Courtney?] The last witness is my son and practicing as the same place as myself. (signed) [?] C. Davie

The injury done to the child is a recent one: and the parts are still very tender. (signed) [?] C Davie
