Q. 623: Who took you to Vancouver? How did you get away from the Camp? A: I went with Mr. Simpson and Mr. Colquhoun. I think a fishing boat. Mr. Leighton: Well, this witness may be right because Mr. Simpson says as far as he knows no shipment arrived unless it came with the goods on the 17th January. Juryman: I think the evidence says that this fellow got goods on the 15th December. He said so once. There is a spread there. Mr. Leighton: Better ask Peter Tom. A: Peter Tom said he didn't get anything from December 15th to January 17th. Mr. Leighton: Q. 624: You get goods on December 15th? A: Yes, a shipment form Lam Guey See. Q. 625: Did the other camp get anything on December 15th? A: I don't know. Juryman: One juryman is under the impression when the last evidence given Peter Tom stated he did get seven sacks of rice, etc., after December 10th? Mr. Leighton: (Reads from evidence given at previous hearing touching on this.)

PETER TOM RECALLED. Q. 626: Was there any trouble between your camp and King Faun's camp? A: No, no ill-feeling. Q. 627: How was it they always had plenty of food, you no food? A: Because King Faun's is a new camp. Our camp is the old camp; They come to camp with plenty of food. Mr. Leighton: He was the foreman for both camps. Appears to have done the buying for both camps. Juryman: No, he give his orders. Both sent in their own orders. King Faun seems to have got the better of the deal. Another juryman: Because he got after it apparently. Q.628: Mr. L. You didn't get any shipment between December 15th and January 17th? You got a shipment on the 15th? A: I didn't get anything. Q.629: You didn't get anything between those dates? A: No.
