My name is George [Kerr MacNaughton ?]. I am a duly qualified med[ ? ] practitioner in [ ? ] the Province of B.C. I reside in Cumberland. About 11:30 p.m. on Monday, 24th inst. I attended the deceased Young Gow at the Cumberland General Hospital. He was suffering from severe shock and the following [extensive?] injuries. 1. Lacerated flesh wounds of the brow 2. Fracture of both bones of left arm 3. [ ? ] fracture of several ribs on left side 4. Internal injury to [base? lobe?] of left lung and liver causing internal bleeding. I examined and cleaned wound, applied splints to arm and applied appropriate treatment for shock and internal hemorrhage. In spite of all efforts patient gradually weakened and died at 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday 25th inst. Death was due to internal hemorrhage or result of injury to left lung and liver.
