I found an irregular [?] found over the right eye about four inches long. There was a compound fracture of the skull underneath [?] with the brain matter exposed. The fracture of the frontal bone and the roof of the eye. In front of the left ear there was an irregular [?] wound going completely through the bone. Round both of the wounds there was blood diffused between the bone and the skin. There were no other marks of violence about the body. The wound first mentioned was caused by violence and was sufficient to cause death. The other wound might have been caused by a fall. An [?] would cause such a wound as the one over the right eye. The [?] wound might have been caused by falling on some pointed or irregular substance.
