An Inquisition indented taken at Stanley, British Columbia, the 10th day of July in the 40 year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria, before me, [Juol Lipp ?], gentleman, one of the Coroners for our Lady the Queen, for the district aforesaid, upon the view of the body of an infant daughter of Foo Hoy then and there and within the jurisdiction of the said Coroner, lying dead, upon the oaths of G L Shephard, N Wormald [?], [Ms Houser ?] Mrs Carmen {?} A Thomas [?} Mrs Nasmith [?], N Milross [?], Theo Lundhard {?], Mr Yeats [?] [illegible] A. Good and lawful men of Stanley aforesaid, n the said district, who being now here sworn and charged to enquire, on the part of our said Lady the Queen when, where, how, and after what manner, the said child came to his death, do say upon their oath, that the child was still born.
