126-134. Enemy threw 4. HE shrapnel over

128 - sprinkled the trench with a phosphorescent substance.

135-142. Intermittent shelling during day & night

Six minenwerfer bombs at 138 -139. Rifle fire heavy during morning.

A solid steel bulet 3/4" in length pierced the parapet at Essex Farm. - Nickel coating apparently torn off.
