Dear Madge

I was so pleased to get your nice long interesting letter some little time ago, also your very welcome parcel of chocolate which fetched up ok.  Ever so may thanks Madge, it was most awfully kind of you to remember me and I verny much appreciate your thoughtfulness, you evidently know my weakness for Choc. as you sent me a very generous supply. Well I hope you and Dugald are going strong these times. I hear you have got a larger car now, "God bless my soul", but business must be booming in the Coal office these days! How are the pups or rather the little dogs?, they can't be pups any longer now! I suppose they're just as full of mischief as ever. I was awfully sorry to hear that poor "Niko" had gone astray, wonder

Dear Madge

I was so pleased to get your nice long interesting letter some little time ago, also your very welcome parcel of chocolate which fetched up ok. Ever so may thanks Madge, it was most awfully kind of you to remember me and I very much appreciate your thoughtfulness, you evidently know my weakness for Choc. as you sent me a very generous supply.
