I'm enclosing it with this. I have seen quite a lot of British prisoners returning most of them clothed in rags and looking pretty poorly, What a terrible life they have had poor chaps. It has been an interesting and yet a sad sight to see the French and Belgian refugees returning to their homes we have passed thousands on the roads pulling their few belongings along on make shift carts. Some of the better offs would perhaps have an ox harnessed to a cart, some I've seen with horse and ox harnessed together and walking along side by side, some | + | hanky.
