E.F.C. Officers Rest House and Mess.

we put in the last night at a rest camp at the port we landed at & then came on to this place this pm. by train. If you can remember where the Huns committed that fiendish crime by bombing a Canadian hospital, some months ago & were there were a number of unfortunate nurses killed, you will know where I am writing from now, I can't give you the name but perhaps this clue will help. I have just had a walk through the town, nothing much to see really, rather a dirty place, though I didn't by any means see it all & it was just getting dusk & I may have missed the best parts! Will have more time to look about tomorrow, we are likely to be here a few days before going up to our Base or "Pool" as it is sometimes called. By the way you might send my letters straight over here now & so save some delay as they are likely to be left lying around
