Florence took me to see an old grape vine that was planted there over 150 years ago. It is a tremendous size & was simply laden with bunches of fruit. Round the base of the vine I think it measured over 4 feet in circumference. We had lunch at a very fashionable place beside the river & we spent a very peaceful afternoon watching people boating & punting on the river! If we had had more time we would have taken a punt ourselves, but I had to leave early to make it worthwhile |
