putting in a wet day or two during the week. We are not having a very warm summer yet - getting a fearful amount of wind in fact I think "Seaford" takes the cake for windy spots. I went to a boxing contest yesterday afternoon it was at the Engineers depot, saw some pretty good bouts. Quite a big turnout. I heard a couple of days ago that Malcolm McDonald, Nora's husband had just left for France, he was with the Engineers, had I known before that he was over there, I would have looked him up. I blew quite a bit of cash on kit when I was in London last - got a fine sleeping bag, at the Army and Navy stories, for which they soaked me £6-8-0, also got new tunic and slacks, service cap, leggings spurs etc! I'll have to send you a snap of myself in my new rig out! I have been without my good watch that you and Mother gave me for about a month now. I broke the winding screw off it and had to send it up to London to be repaired, in ordinary times I would have got it back again in about 2 days, but now if I get it in 2 months I'm told I will be
