There was a large boat torpedoed just off Seaford yesterday, fortunately she just managed to make port, so she can be salvaged. There are a great many aeroplanes & airships flying round continually, it is quite interesting watching them, it is surprising though how quickly ones interest begins to wear off as it is such an everyday occurrence to see them overhead. I was on church parade this morning, we had a short service out in the open air as it was such a fine morning, we had a good band to play us on our march & also at the service. The bands round this camp are splendid. there are quite a number as each Bn has its own, its great to hear them playing one misses a good band in Victoria very much.

I had a nice letter from Heb this am. not very much in it, but the main thing is to know that he is going strong Also heard from Florence a few days ago, she likewise seemed very fit. I wrote to Ronald yesterday to let him know I was over here, I daresay he will be glad to hear I'm not still employed on
