There was a large boat torpedoed just off Seaford yesterday, fortunately she just managed to make port, so she can be salvaged. There are a great many aeroplanes and airships flying round continually, it is quite interesting watching them, it is surprising though how quickly ones interest [illegible] wear off as it is such an everyday occurence to see them overhead.

I was on church parade this morning, we had a short service out in the open air as it was such a fine morning, we had a good band to play us on our march and also at the service. The bands round this camp are splendid. there are quite a number as each BA has its own, its great to hear them playing one misses a good band in Victoria very much.
