in such a way, it is too bad. Mai was evidently all too long in Germany, as she seems to picked up a good deal of Hunnishness in her system! I must say one hates to think of there being a family breach, but of course it is absolutely impossible to sit down and take it all and let Mai "put it over one" like that. It will be sad and very disagreeable for poor old Heb, if he goes out to Victoria on leave and finds Highwood not on speaking terms with his wife. I had a letter from him yesterday and from all accounts his chances of getting 3 months Canadian leave are good, he seemed very much excited over it and expected to hear shortly, he was in hopes that I would be able to get a few days leave and spend it with him in town in the event of it coming through, but I'm not likely to get any leave now, as I'm kept too busy on different courses. So far I have taken Mapping, Gas and Revolver courses and I am glad to say I have made out all right in them all so far, Mapping
