carrying mail had been torpedoed, hope it may not be true, but you will be able to tell pretty well whether the dates of my letters link up or not, as I have been writing pretty regularly. In future I am going to keep a record of the dates of my letters which I mail to you all and I would be glad when writing if you would always acknowledge the letter and date, then I will know if they ever fetch up or not, I will do the same for letters I receive. I wonder if those photos I sent which were taken on the trip over ever reached you? I have a few more to enclose this time. Well Mother your letter re Mai's behaviour reached me curiously enough, before your other one which was dated earlier (May 9). I certainly was disgusted, annoyed and disappointed to hear of such goings on, on Mai's part, I believe there must be some truth in what Al says about her being a bit touched, at any rate from the latest behaviour it would seem so. A lunatic eaten up with conceit is a horrible combination!! It makes one awfully mad to think that you and Father should be treated
