Just a line to let you know I got off all right. Left Vancouver Sunday night at 11 o'clock & we are now nearing Revelstoke. We really should be somewhere near Medicine Hat but we got held up near a place called Savona for 18 hours, there was a bad washout on the line & it took them all that time to patch up the line before we could get over, a section of road bed about 90 feet long & 14 feet deep was washed completely away. We happened to stop near a place where they were holding July 1st celebrations. Indians & Cowboys etc. were gathered together from far & wide to take part in horse races & bronco busting, etc. I walked over with the 2 Imp[?] officers who are travelling with the [coolies?] to see the fun. The bronco busting was well worth seeing, the riding was splendid. The weather has been pretty
