Very large macadam = Marquise

Nov 11th The Australians arrived - A great battle at Estaminet-Rousset in the evening 2nd Lieut Webb A.S.C. & I were visiting Mme Voisons & then in rushed Mme Roussel for help that the Australians were killing her husband. Mr Webb & I to the rescue & placed him under arrest.

Nov 13th Colonel Moody G.B. & the Adjutant & Q.M. came over in the morning to try my C.L.M. for writing an improper letter to an officer. The C.O. dealt with him severely.

Nov 18 A sprinkling of snow.

Nov 23 Misty morning - sunshine later. A Court of Enquiry occupied the Orderly Room from 10-2:30

Nov 27th An explosion at 10 P.M. Arrive at Arras.
