Dear Miss Russell:

Dear Miss Russell:
: I have just found out through my brother Walter that you were the person responsible for a package which I received some time ago. Do not know what happened to it but the parcel arrived some time in January I think and was forwarded here from Shorncliffe with an English stamp thereon. The only mark which showed that its place of origin was Victoria was the post office stamp, so I hope you will not think badly of me for not writing you. Some day I expect to go over to France so I want to keep in well with all my friends at home.

Dear Miss Russell:

I have just found out through my brother Walter that you were the person responsible for a package which I received some time ago.

You may be sure I enjoyed that candy very much and it was very good of you to trouble in sending it.
