we did not lose a man killed but had a number wounded nine very seriously. The net result was several prisoners including our German officer it is great fun when one of their night attacks take place, and a fellow gets so worked up that he does not seem to care what happens. The fist few minutes are the worst but when the big guns and rifles start going and shells and bombs breaking all around, men shouting and cussing and horses squealing you forget all your troubles and never think where you are till you land back in
