also C.W.G. must know that Cariboo have often been killed off much more recklessly & very little of the meat brought in. I think it shows narly spite & not real on his part. Also it was very dirty to pretend frendship to P.H. & J.B. & then write such a letter. Guess he is not much of a real man & should be glad to hear that he had been got rid of. I made an effort to get away on a draft to German East Africa but was turned down as too old. It was not my draft but I heard they were short some men so I tried for it two weeks ago; I got back 1130 p.m. last night There were 160 of us returned & today one other & my self, (both returned men & the only ones) were sent to the Jn. O to see if weve fit to join a draft to Italy. I think we were both marked fit. If so, we go soon. It will be a plesant trip across France by rail & new places to see when we get there. But I guess it means much hard work at the other end more work & less shells than in France I expect but shall be glad to get into real active service at once. Please keep the shirh etc till I return shipped them in Feb. I sent for them soon after I badk to B.C. also please keep the reg. Package till I return or till after the war is over & If I am napoo send that reg pkg to Eastbourne.
