Bob,

Bob,

Your letter of the 25th I received some time ago but have not had a chance of answering it before. I was glad to hear that at last you had got started training once more. I guess by now you will be getting ready to fly if you have not already been up. It must be great sport alright. If you haven't got that ticket yet already I hope you have no end of "heart failures" etc. on the part of the mill. I shan't wish you or the old bat any harm but the longer you stay off coming out here the better for you. We certainly got old fritz guessing everywhere but there is a big kick in him yet. I can certainly sympathize with them aviators. The infantry have there work cut out for them dodging rum jars that don't move very fast but it gets me how them aviators get through shrapnel that is fired at them.
