2/

CANADA BRAMSHOTT CAMP, LIPHOOK, Hants.

from 2.30 until 6 pm. It is the same old burg, not a bit changed. I rung up Bolnafelach and spoke to Mr & Mrs Birnie. Alistair is a second Lt. with the 2/4 (2nd/4th) Camerons. I got his address and am going to write him.

I got in Nairn @ 6.30 and was there 24 hrs. Most of the older folks were there but all the young men of course are in the navy or the mine sweepers. Uncle Jim has been sick for about 8 mons with Asthma I think it is. He is not improving very fast and Auntie Maggie has hardly been out of bed since we left. Cousins Dave Meen & Sandy were home on leave fortunately. Davis vessel had her stern blown off by a torpedo when the Germans made that last raid on Yarmouth and she was in dock for repairs
