Dearest Mother & Father
I received two of your letters last night & two to-day and one from Bessie Flemming as I have been rather lucky. Tommie Carew came down Thurs-eve to see Chick, he is on leave from France. We tried our best to entertain him but Seaford is such a dull place that I am afraid he did not enjoy it very much. Tommie is looking very poorly indeed we are going to try to get him in hospital if we can succeed in getting leave before he goes back.
