[?], Major Daniel, from Alberta also has a flame in the [life/wife] of the Barracks Officer, in fact everyone seems to have an attachment somewhere. quite the thing of course in barracks but alarming for me so recently married as myself! However Vera and I are toffing good pals and have both sufficient sense of humour to weather the occasional squalls of dissension that arise. I think quite like her for she’s a really good soul and makes friends with both sexes impartially. I’m sorry to hear Adele’s [?] has not been an unqualified success for I am very fond of both of them and should like to see them happy. I haven’t heard from either of them...
