It was so kind of "R. F.L" to send the Lieutenant some "comforts"! I conjecture his joy at getting them through.  Just like him! He are how severely on Rations. s1/3 d worth of meat of each person & 11 oz of butter of margarine. How I should love to he left alone with a loaf of new white bread & half a pound of farm house butter. Food is really funny it's so dear.  Canadian Salmon 2/10 Lbs.Scotch 4/ - & you are only allowed to buy fish freely - bacon - meat & trimmed meat also sugar of at being all nationed & we can scaverly jet cheese - only sometimes a small piece: clever mind potatoes are cheap & plentiful. Eggs can be bought at a price! I'm nather a seurge - crow bet of course we are all so little
