My dear "Dodo"

My dear "Dodo"

You see I am taking you at your word. It was a great pleasure to me to meet you again, recently, in Vancouver, & I thought you were very sweet to ask me to write to you & to call you "Dodo".

We had a most pleasant trek to the coast - Four of us in a very fine private car. Rather hard on the one lady, tho', wasn't it? But we had a lot of bridge - I occupied a double brass bed, in a "room" containing a wardrobe, dressing table, with drawers below, running water & bath room next door. And we lived like fighting cocks - assuming those birds fare sumptuously every day - "Kennedy" never gave us the same menu twice - excepting cocktails - & they were the same, before luncheon & dinner!
