Dearest Dody,

Dearest Dody,
I don't know what you will think of me by now, after such a spell of utter silence for so long; & in spite of the fact that since I last wrote, have received a couple of communications from you. Your last was written from the Bank of Montreal, June 15th; was so sorry to hear of your family trouble, but hope everything will come out all right, as nearly every cloud has a silver lining you know, & I reckon you were a brick to jump into it so suddenly, I only hope you are having a pleasant a time as it's possible under the circumstances, & don't get over worked. Yes it was June 15 16.
