We got fired on by 7 of our [?] on our way up here, and they got unpleasantly close for about 10 minutes, before they discovered their mistake. Luckily the [?] [?] very [?] and they did not hit us, but one can [?] and [?] [?] sometime. I wish that I could tell you more, but there have been such informal [?] about people saying too much that it is not good enough. Sorry to disappoint you.

You have not said anything about the lace. I did not get it as, far as I know, you may not care for it lots of people don't. We are away from Malta now so if you want some I regret to say that you will have to wait until we go there again. I had a lot of riding while I was there and took a good many to*s[?] trying to learn polo, I gave it up as I am much too slow and have got no eye for it, but it is grand fun while you are still on your nag's back.
