enjoyed it so much, I am sure it must have been delightful & envy at least one of the party, I can quite well imagine you had a good time.

This will be the first year for about 20 years that there has been nobody at the river fishing in Norway, everybody is away this year, poor old Father being dead, I can scarcely imagine it yet; not having been home since. Mother has been staying with Mary for a long time, but is now back in Cornwall again with Eleanor, she likes being over there, but I think she will eventually go back to Norway, she still seems to have a soft spot in her heart for it. Gerald's brother - Cecil - has been wounded, I don't think very badly though, still bad enough to e sent home.
