2.  Fine - Went to Aubigny.  Col Spry moved forward .  Lt Caldwell RAF (ex 2 CdnBn) came in having damaged his [illegible] .  Very fine young chap.  56 Squar 13 Bde.  This an SE6.  Told offrs of how he had been protecting Haudley Paprs delivering supplies to American Div cut off beyond the Laval Tunnel.

5.  Col Mantagne, Maj Rispin visited us at Arras.  I went forward to Adv Hqrs before I [illegible] les marquion to stay.  Found Hqrs in camouflaged open trenches fairly comfortable but crowded.  First Hqrs of the kind I have seen - Surface of the ground kept level & no trace of excavation. Chambers cut into sides of trench roofs with i[illegible]  & all camouflaged - no connecting trenches.  Saw Cambrai for first time.  This has been built by Germans recently.  Bulgaria capitulated.
