I rode full of beans but much nicer than Joe the Adjt's horse to ride - Reached Maisuil [?] Reitz near Bruay at 10 am.  Billets very scattered but fairly good.  Orderly Room may billet as Adjt in Cunes [?} house Rue d'Obtain.

under Major Reynolds having rec'd draft of 7 offrs, 306 men from 48th Bn & 3rd Pioneers.

26/27. Bn came out this night to Bde rest area . Lovely weather.

27. Ch Parade under [illegible] of Bois des Alleux walked to Marouvil with Alecaude in [?].

30. Bde inspected by Genl Ketchen. Bn much complimented. I returned to [illegible]. Major lisberot[?] the Adj., Col Ross went on leave.
