Ordinary trench kit for an officer.  Steel helmet

Ordinary trench kit for an officer.  Steel helmet sanded with mist - patches in colour on each side small box respirator (worse at "alert" position) for gas.  Colt automatic pistol '450 cal & ammn pouch. Flash Lamp.  Haversack containing rations extra socks & sometimes light waterproof trench boots with rubber blocks on soles - Oak walking stick with iron point - in pocket - maps - message book - compass.  Sometimes binoculars mess tin & water bottle but not usually.  Generally a coat of some sort would be carried.

A.D.C. as an officer of 29th Canadian Infantry Bn. 6th Bde 2nd Divn, Unit patches worn on outside of arm at shoulders.

All dark blue rectangle 2 ½ x 3" Trianble 2 ½" high This signified 3rd Bn of 6th Bde of Divn.

Ordinary trench kit for an officer. Steel helmet sanded with mist - patches in colour on each side small box respirator (worse at "alert" position) for gas.
