Marched thro B d'ohlain lovely.  Jerry (Col's horse) full of beans but much nicer than Joe (Srgts horse) to ride.  Reached Mailnil Reitz at 10.15 am.  Billets very scattered.  Orderly room & my room in Cure's house on Rue d'Oblain.

Fri June 1.  Left G.S. at 8am.  Met 7th Bn on road.  [illegible] leading his Co. Marched. Mrs. B d'ohlain lovely.  Jerry (Col's horse) full of beans but much nicer than Joe (Srgts horse) to ride.  Reached Maisnil Reitz at 10.15 am.  Billets very scattered.  Orderly room & my room in Cure's house on Rue d'Oblain.

Sat. May 26. Bn this night & in early morning. 27 came out of line to Brigade Rest area - Weather lovely.

Sund May 27. Ch. Parade under the trees of Bois des Alleurc. Walked to Maroquit with Alexander in evening.

Wed. May 30. Bde inspected by Genl Ketchen. Bn much complimented. I returned to Bn [illegible] Major Wilmot who for leave. Col Ross went on leave to England. Maj Wilmot left Bn.
