Oct 2 Tues Stayed where we were. Very little shelling. at dusk with party of 20 sent to Kenora trench to arrange for digging new trench. Came in for bomb attack & extraordinary heavy shelling. My party untouched but 1 off'r 29th & 2 men killed & others wounded by one shell. Very wet & most awfully muddy. Stood by all night & got in about 6 am. | Oct 2 Tues Stayed where we were.
