Scene of moving colour of massed heads on wharf seen from steamer bridge never to be forgotten. Day perfect. Saw Nell on way down & Maud & Tom in town. Also Mother Susie + Zeffie at Pentrelew. Lindley walking down with me. Embarked at Vancouver. Rd ½ in Train No. 1 under Major Harrison Train 2nd half including Cos. 3 & 4 under Col. Our train left at midnight. All orderly well behaved & cheerful. |
